About the Recovery Homes
The B Come Moore vision is to have homes created to establish a home-like atmosphere where residents work together towards the same goal. The aim is to maintain a healthy supportive environment. Our recovery homes will provide people with the support and accountability needed to build on their strengths while addressing the areas of their lives that have been greatly impacted by addiction to building a strong foundation for a long term recovery.
Requirements: Complete abstinence from drugs and alcohol (zero tolerance policy)
B Come Moore organization is committed to providing our clients with the highest level of attention focusing on the specific needs of men and women transitioning into our homes including:
• Safe and clean living environment
• Manage and safeguard an individual’s privacy while giving priority to their need for structured living and promoting abstinence
• Enforcement of the rules and regulations for a secure operation
• Manage and maintain facilities’ physical appearance to provide a comfortable atmosphere
• Provide food service
• Expeditious processing of necessary paperwork for the clients and our referral customers
• Provide an immediate point of contact for daily communications
• Provide random drug testing as deemed necessary by the Director of Operations
• Maintain readiness to comply with necessary processes set forth by regulating authorities within the county of Suffolk in the state of New York
About peer recovery mentoring
Peer recovery advocates and mentors are equipped to utilize their own recovery expertise, professional training, and lived experience. Some of the tasks peer recovery advocates and mentors will be able to perform may include but are not limited to:
- Engaging with an individual that is considering entering treatment
- Engaging with a client to attend treatment or other health care services
- Engaging with a client in continuing care services post discharge
- Raising awareness of existing social and other support services
- Helping peers develop a recovery plan
- Helping peers self monitor their progress
- Engaging with a client in modeling effective coping skills
